Clinical Utilities Evaluate adrenal insufficiency and Addison's disease. Serum antibodies to adrenal cortical cells are seen in 40-70% of patients with idiopathic Addison's disease, 7 to 18% of patients with tuberculous Addison's disease and in 1% of normal subjects.
